A cold mountain spring, lava flows, an active crater, steam vents, emerald coloured lakes and magnificent views combine to make this a truly memorable experience.

This 7 to 8 hour day journey is a ‘must-experience’ while visiting New Zealand. Should the weather not be suitable for the crossing, alternative spectacular, one-day walks will be provided by our guide.
